The End Of Your Cruise

 

SHIPBOARD ACCOUNT/BAR

The ship has a bar in the salon with regular opening hours, from early morning to approximately 11pm. You will find a wide selection of tasty cocktails, spirits, local wines, bottled beers and soft drinks to enjoy. These drinks will be charged to your cabin and your bar bill should be settled at the end of your cruise. Some of our ships have credit card facilities on board however it is usually around 10% cheaper with cash payments. Corkage is generally not available, and you may not bring your own alcohol on board. Some ships do offer credit card facilities on board. You will be able to use a local ATM at the end of the cruise, to withdraw cash if required. Please note that while some of these small ships have an electronic invoice system for the drinks bill, many are still calculated manually and hand written by the barman in a book at the bar, which is available to view at any time on request.

 

GRATUITIES

We appreciate that the gratuity amounts can be quite confusing, especially in different currencies. We have put together our recommended guidelines for the Cruise Director and the ship crew.

Please note this is recommended per guest per day of the 7-night cruise, and should be paid in cash only.

6 – 8 EUR per person per day
7 – 9 USD per person per day
5 – 7 GBP per person per day

Ship Crew

15 – 20 EUR per person per day
17 – 22 USD per person per day
13 – 18 GBP per person per day

Local Guides

For the local guides who do the city tours, we would suggest €1-€2 per guest. (which is paid at the end of the tour)

 

PORT FEES

Port fees are included in some of our cruises. Please refer to your itinerary to see if they are included and if not, what the port fees are for your cruise. They will need to be paid in cash to the cruise director at the start of the cruise.

 

DISEMBARKATION

You will disembark the ship at 9am, or earlier if required for an early flight. This will allow the crew sufficient time to prepare the ship for future arrivals. The Cruise Director will indicate the location of the luggage store facilities within the harbor.

 

LUGGAGE STORAGE

There are secure luggage storage facilities in Split and Dubrovnik ports. Luggage can be stored for the day at a few Euro per day. These facilities are supervised and open late into the evening.

 

DEPARTURE TRANSFER

You have a departure transfer arranged as part of your itinerary. The Cruise Director will coordinate your onward transfer and indicate if the driver is meeting you at the ship or at a designated meeting point. We are unable to change any departure transfer times or destinations. Our drivers schedule is pre-arranged up to 2 weeks in advance and any changes can adversely impact over 25 other client transfers the driver may have scheduled for that day.
